Defines the direction of propagating. That is, the Fourier transform is taken in the plane perpendicular to this direction. Only components of the electromagnetic fields are considered which propagate or are evanescent in the prescribed direction.
Warning
The NormalDirection refers to the coordinate system used in the cross section export. I.e., for simulations a XY cross section typically NormalDirection = Z or -Z.
